Dödens Dal (Valley of Death) is (was?) a Swedish electronic duo with a flair for analogue synths, a bit of prog and retro beats. I first heard them at the beginning of 2013 when they released their debut single “Det står skrivet” which ended up becoming one of my favourite songs from that year. I also went to watch them perform at the Hultsfred Festival the same summer.

At the end of last year they released what they describe as the final part of their album trilogy, “På natten, ovan molnen”.

All of their releases have had great artwork done by Swedish artist Marcus Ivarsson, and although not lacking in energy, the sound veers more towards ambience than towards clubs.
